Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare surpassed Battlefield 1 for sales in the USA for 2016

Remember how Internet warriors arranged an attack on a debut trailer Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and instructed him an incredible number of dyslaiks? Video clip Battlefield 1, On the contrary, he beat records for the number of views and “fingers up”. But Activision All this time was right: the estimates under the trailer ultimately do not mean so much.

Analysts from NPD Group summed up the results of 2016 and called the 10 best-selling games in the USA. Call of Duty again overtook all competitors and took as many as two lines in the top: the first with Infinite Warfare and eighth with Black Ops III.

Excellent results showed new franchises: Tom Clancy’s The Division And Overwatch. Moreover, the latter, most likely, is even better: NPD Group did not take into account digital sales on PC via Battle.Net.

Accounts also note success Final Fantasy XV. The Japanese role -playing long -rise managed to catch on the tenth line, although he went out at the very end of November.

Well Grand Theft Auto v continues to light even three years after the release.

In the chart NPD Group based on the sale of physical copies and a little digital (on PC-only Steam, without Origin and other sites). And only in the US. Do not forget, however, that the States is one of the largest video games markets and is a good measure of success.

1. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
2. Battlefield 1
3. Tom Clancy’s The Division
4. NBA 2K17
5. Madden NFL 17

As I understand it, they do not display the sales of digital versions for Xbox and PS4, as well as Origin for PC (the main Batlefield sale point). But this is just a huge piece of pie. I think this chart is inferior. Do not take it seriously.

The NPD Group chart relied on the sales of physical copies and a little digital (on PC-only Steam, without Origin and other sites)

I don’t hint at anything, but this is not honest, there is simply no BF1 in Steam)
But still this is an indicator that the witch no matter what "bad" does not seem to buy it anyway.

Yes, the last sorcerer is even very nothing, if we talk about the plot and zombies, the multiplayer there is the same as before, by one “but”: on which map, in what mode you don’t play, the high -speed meat grinder still gets, and even more so, if you have a sidge, os, titans2, and of course BF1.

Eh, the eternal war of Montecca and Capuletti, Activision and EA Games.
We must pay tribute to EA, their series is technical in technical terms. At least the graphics improves, the destruction of objects, they make better every year. Still, when you shoot from the tank to the wall, I want a hole to form in the wall. And "Battlefield" it can. But…
I turned to you as a person who like these games. And I am very important to me the opinion of your and other Stopgame readers. I can’t understand why some people buy “Call of Duty” and “Battlefield” every year. Which, I note, new new.

The developers of these franchises would learn from the same Rockstar and stop releasing a new game every year or two, which is slightly different from the previous one. This is my personal opinion, and I am very interested in knowing the opinion of your and other gamers.

One could say that these companies do this to keep afloat. But it turns out somehow Rockstar to make “GTA V” in 2013 and still be in “TOP 10” for sales of this game. It can be seen that there is a game for a gamer, not a gamer for the game. Once paid and get:
-And the “plot” is cool (plot, dialogs, humor, graphics there at an altitude even three years after the game),
-And the game has changed compared to GTA IV very strongly, t.e. It can be seen that the money is invested there,
-And the online is excellent, which Rockstar supports to date, complementing all sorts of “buns”.
And no DLC, Season Pass.
One way or another, we do not buy games for a penny. In addition, I bought a good game – buy modern iron for it, which is also not cheap.
And here it turns out, every year buy a new game. There will not be so many differences, plus we will cut it in parts. You could buy two or three different games for this money, but buy one from us. All "for garlic".

Imagine that you came to the store to buy a car, paid the full price for it, and you were given only a body without wheels, engine and seats. Want to get a car completely? Then buy our DLC. Better pre -order. At the same time, we will not immediately give wheels, engine and seats, you will receive them for a year in parts. Thanks for the purchase!

This is a deception.
I repeat once again that I am sharing my opinion, because I really want to hear the opinion of others, and not to throw out the accumulated grievances on someone that “my mother does not give money for“ Battlefield ”.
So, I get the impression that those who buy Batla and Kolda every year are simply pampering to the developers. It would be nice to EA Games and Activision for such an attitude to gamers to punish the ruble (well, or the dollar), but no – they are in the first places in terms of sales level.
Correct me if I’m wrong. I will be glad to listen (subtract comments).

If someone says that “fish and cancer are fish”, then I will not agree. At least once a year, good “shooters” in the first person (albeit not all online) from different companies that can be happy to run are accurately come out. And their huge plus is that they differ from each other. After all, these are new impressions.
For example, if you call the “shooters” from the first person with normal graphics, and new, fresh gameplay ideas, over the past six years that are closely close to “Call of Duty” and “Battlefield”, then I recall: it is remembered:
2010 – Metro 2033,
2010 – Call of Duty: Black Ops (yes, this part is not bad. And the “zombie” mode is cheerful there, even though now run again).
2011 – Battlefield 3 (yes, it is worth the purchase. This part of the “battles” was made well, the “plot” was with pleasure), “Bad Company 2” 2010 is also good, but I would not buy a game with one gameplay for two years in a row, so I put only one part on the list),
2011 – Crysis 2,
2012 – Far Cry 3,
2013 – Grand Theft Auto V (however, the first -person view was added if I’m not mistaken in 2014),
2013 – Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 (I understand that this game is inferior in terms of level, but there is good graphics and at least a third of the game – the operation in the Philippines – is done quite well),
2014 – Wolfenstein: The New Order,
2015 – Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege,
2016-Titanfall 2 (“Titans”, nevertheless, differ from the same “Call of Duty”, namely, in the second part there is also a “plot”).

And this is only offhand. At the same time, I do not mention games like Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2, as well as Army -type simulators, because they are characterized by gameplain from the above franchises.

And here’s the question: why you can’t buy in 2011 “Battlefield 3”, for four to five years to “use it” when the hunt in online run. And then in 2016 take Battlefield 1, which is already more or less different from the third part.
Maybe then EA Games will begin to think differently? If she has four to five years of her year from millions to thousands? In 2011 will release high -quality “Battlefield 3”, which will support and supplement for free for five years – new “import” cards, new game modes. And then in 2016 he will give out “Battlefield 4”, where the plot is – even now put forward on an Oscar – and the gameplay is already such that the game cannot be recognized.

Thank you for your attention. Especially those who did not fall asleep, having read to the end. 🙂

I have Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, but I quit the sorcerer after the plot, and I didn’t even go through the storyline in Batle, but I still play in the network mode.
